Free samples are everywhere these days, but most of them are garbage. Junky drum hits, badly recorded loops, packs that promise the world and deliver 50 MB of unusable filler.
The good ones though, the ones actually worth downloading, can save you hours of work and genuinely upgrade your tracks. The trick is knowing where to look.
This list focuses on the free packs that punch way above their weight. Most of them come from Loopmasters, who’ve been giving away curated 100-sample taster packs across a bunch of genres, all pulled from their leading brands and label partners.
Two of them come from MusicRadar’s SampleRadar, which has been quietly building one of the best free sample libraries on the internet for years. All of these drop straight into FL Studio (or any DAW really) without any setup. Image credits go to Loopmasters & Splice.
1. Loopmasters Free Sample Pack – Vocals

If there’s one thing that instantly makes a track feel alive, it’s a good vocal sample. Loopmasters’ Free Sample Pack – Vocals delivers 100 curated vocal samples pulled from their leading brands and label partners, which means you’re getting a proper cross-section rather than one producer’s narrow style.
You’ll find soulful melodies, edgy harmonies, spoken phrases, hooks, ad-libs, the works. The variety is the point here. Whether you want a chopped-up hook for a beat or a full vocal phrase to build around, there’s something usable in this pack for pretty much any genre.
For me this is one of the best free vocal options out there. Vocals are usually expensive and hard to find royalty-free, so getting 100 samples for free is a solid deal. Drop them straight into FL Studio’s playlist or chop them in Edison.
Pros: Curated 100-sample selection from multiple Loopmasters labels. Genre-flexible. Cons: Smaller than dedicated paid vocal packs, and you don’t get specific singers or themes.
2. Loopmasters Free Sample Pack – Hip-Hop & Trap

Hip-Hop and Trap producers always need fresh material, and this 100-sample taster pack gives you a proper grab-bag of usable sounds. Loopmasters pulled this from across their best-selling Hip-Hop and Trap brands, so you’re getting curated quality rather than random scraps.
What you can expect is the usual stuff that drives the genre. Hard-hitting drums, melodic loops, 808s, vocal chops, and FX. Tempos and styles span both classic Hip-Hop boom-bap and modern Trap territory, which means it works whether you’re making something old-school or chasing current charts.
Personally, I think this pack is great for getting started or topping up your existing library. Don’t sleep on this one if you’re new to FL Studio and want a solid base of Hip-Hop sounds without paying anything.
Pros: Covers both Hip-Hop and Trap angles in one free pack. Cons: Generic curation rather than a specific producer’s sound, so you might want to pair it with more focused packs.
3. Loopmasters Free Sample Pack – Tech House

Tech House has been one of the biggest dance genres for years now, and Loopmasters’ free taster pack is a decent way in if you don’t want to commit to a paid library yet. 100 samples pulled from their Tech House catalogue, which spans some of the best producers in the game.
You’re looking at the usual Tech House toolkit. Driving drum loops, chunky bass loops, percussion, vocal stabs, and FX, mostly sitting around the 125-128 BPM range that defines the genre. Everything’s pre-mixed and pretty much ready to drop into a track.
I love that this pack covers the genre essentials without padding. Tech House is all about groove and details, and you’ll find a good chunk of both here. Solid free starting point for anyone wanting to make Tech House in FL Studio.
Pros: Genuine Tech House sounds with focus on drum and percussion essentials. Cons: Smaller pack means you’ll quickly outgrow it if you produce Tech House seriously.
4. SampleRadar: 485 Free DnB Essentials Samples

This one’s a beast. MusicRadar’s SampleRadar has been giving away free royalty-free samples for years, and this 485-sample DnB essentials pack is one of the best free Drum & Bass libraries you’ll find anywhere. Originally featured in Future Music Magazine, then released for free download.
Inside you get pre-produced loops running between 160 and 175 BPM, a ton of individual drum hits for building your own beats, plus a load of FX and a melodic loops folder with nasty bass, heavy leads, and old-school pads. All supplied as 24-bit WAV files, so they import straight into FL Studio.
What I love is the size and variety. 485 samples is a serious amount of free content, and the quality is way above what you usually get with free packs. Royalty-free for use in your music, just don’t re-distribute them. Don’t skip this one if you want to make DnB.
Pros: Huge 485-sample library with proper DnB tempos and full breakdown of drums, bass, and FX. Cons: Old-school pack so the design might feel slightly dated next to current DnB.
5. Loopmasters Free Sample Pack – Drum & Bass

If the SampleRadar pack feels too much, this one’s a tighter alternative. Loopmasters Free Sample Pack – Drum & Bass gives you a curated 100 samples pulled from their best DnB brands, which means you get quality without the overwhelm of a 485-sample library.
You’ll find loops sitting around the typical 170-175 BPM DnB range, with breakbeats, bass loops, synth elements, and FX. Loopmasters’ DnB catalogue covers everything from Liquid to Neurofunk to Jump Up, so the curation here pulls a bit from across the spectrum.
I’d say this works best paired with the SampleRadar pack above, since they cover slightly different angles. Get both, mix them together in FL Studio, and you’ve got a serious free DnB starting kit.
Pros: Tighter 100-sample curation from current Loopmasters DnB releases. Cons: Smaller than the SampleRadar pack, so less raw variety.
6. Loopmasters Free Sample Pack – House

House is probably the most produced electronic genre on the planet, so naturally there’s a free Loopmasters pack for it. 100 House samples pulled from across their leading House labels and producers, ready to drop into FL Studio.
The pack covers the usual House essentials. Four-on-the-floor drum loops, classic synth stabs, piano chords, percussion, vocal hits, and FX. It’s broad rather than deep, which is the right move for a free taster pack since House has so many sub-genres that a focused approach would just leave most producers without something useful.
For me this works best as a top-up library. If you already have some House samples, this just adds to your toolkit. Get this if you’re starting from scratch in FL Studio and want a free House foundation.
Pros: Covers multiple House sub-genres in one 100-sample pack. Cons: Broad curation means you won’t get deep coverage of any specific House style.
7. Loopmasters Free Sample Pack – Afro House

Afro House has exploded over the last few years thanks to producers like Black Coffee and labels like Innervisions and Keinemusik. This Loopmasters free pack gives you a 100-sample taster of the genre’s signature sound without paying anything.
Inside you’ll find the rolling percussion patterns that define Afro House, melodic loops with that warm organic feel, vocal chants and hits, plus deep bass and synth elements. Tempos sit around 120-124 BPM, which is the sweet spot for the genre.
I love that this pack captures the actual Afro House feel rather than just being a generic House pack with some percussion thrown in. There’s real character here. Don’t skip this one if you want to dip your toes into Afro House production.
Pros: Authentic Afro House percussion and melodic content for free. Cons: Won’t replace a dedicated Afro House library for serious production work.
8. Loopmasters Free Sample Pack – Techno

Techno producers are notoriously picky about their sounds, but this Loopmasters free pack is a decent jumping-off point. 100 Techno samples drawn from their leading Techno brands, which span everything from Hard Techno to Hypnotic to Industrial.
What you get is a solid spread of Techno essentials. Driving four-on-the-floor drum loops, hypnotic synth lines, dark percussion, atmospheric FX, and metallic textures. Tempos generally sit in the 128-140 BPM range that covers most modern Techno styles.
Personally, I’d grab this even if you already produce Techno, just to have some extra options floating around in your FL Studio sample library. The curation pulls from current Loopmasters Techno releases, which means it’s not dated.
Pros: Covers multiple Techno sub-genres with current Loopmasters curation. Cons: Hardcore Techno producers will probably want more focused packs for specific styles.
9. Loopmasters Free Sample Pack – Cinematic

If you make ambient music, soundtracks, or just want to add atmosphere to your tracks, this is the one. Loopmasters Free Sample Pack – Cinematic gives you 100 cinematic samples pulled from their cinematic and ambient catalogues.
Inside you’ll find big atmospheric pads, evolving textures, orchestral hits, percussion, drones, and FX designed to add depth and emotion to your productions. This kind of content works across genres too. Drop a cinematic pad under a Hip-Hop beat or a Trap track and you instantly get more depth.
I love how versatile this pack is. It’s not just for making film scores, it’s for adding texture to anything you make in FL Studio. Get this one even if you don’t think you need cinematic samples, you’ll find uses for them.
Pros: Versatile cinematic textures that work across genres beyond film scoring. Cons: No melodic content tied to specific keys, so you might need to pitch-match in FL Studio.
10. Loopmasters Free Sample Pack – Reggae & Dub

Authentic Reggae and Dub samples are surprisingly hard to find for free, which makes this Loopmasters pack a solid grab. 100 Reggae and Dub samples pulled from their catalogue, which includes work from artists like Dubmatix and labels like Irievibrations Records.
You’ll find classic Reggae drum loops, skanking guitar parts, dub FX, organ stabs, deep basslines, and vocal hits. Tempos sit in the typical 65-140 BPM range that covers Roots, Dub, and Dancehall styles. Real authentic stuff, not watered-down generic samples.
For me this is one of the more useful free Loopmasters packs because Reggae samples are so specific. You can’t easily fake that skank guitar or that dub bass with synth presets. Get this if you want to add real Caribbean flavor to your tracks.
Pros: Authentic Reggae and Dub sounds from real Loopmasters Reggae catalogue. Cons: Niche genre means it’s less useful if you don’t make Reggae or Dub.
11. Loopmasters Free Sample Pack – Pop

Pop production needs a wide range of sounds, and this Loopmasters free pack gives you a starter selection across the genre. 100 Pop samples pulled from their best Pop and crossover brands, ready to drop into FL Studio.
The content covers modern Pop essentials. Crisp drum loops, vocal chops, melodic hooks, synth pads, plucks, and FX. The samples lean toward contemporary Pop production rather than retro styles, which means they slot well into current chart-aimed tracks.
I appreciate that this pack doesn’t try to be everything at once. It focuses on the core elements that drive modern Pop and lets you build from there. Solid free option for anyone making Pop or Pop-adjacent tracks in FL Studio.
Pros: Modern Pop production essentials in one 100-sample pack. Cons: Pop is so broad that 100 samples can only scratch the surface.
12. SampleRadar: 328 Free Drum ‘n’ Bass Samples

Closing out with another MusicRadar SampleRadar pack, this one with 328 DnB samples split across two construction kits. Different angle from the 485-sample essentials pack, this one focuses on full kit-style content.
What you get is two construction kits packed with drum and bass sounds, including loops, single hits, and multisamples. Construction kits are useful because they give you cohesive starting points where everything’s already in the same key and tempo, saving you a bunch of mixing and matching time.
Personally I’d say grab both this and the 485 essentials pack. Together they give you serious free DnB ammunition for FL Studio without spending a penny. Like the other SampleRadar pack, this one’s royalty-free for your tracks but you can’t redistribute the samples themselves.
Pros: Construction kit format with cohesive sound design across 328 samples. Cons: Older release, the design feels less modern than current DnB packs.
